The award is to be given to the person in the Seattle Tennis Club tennis community (within or outside the Club) who most exemplifies a lifetime of dedication and commitment to excellence in or advancement of tennis in the areas of competition, coaching, promotion or service.
Considerations will be
1. Award is a perpetual award to be presented annually during the finals of the Washington State Open Tennis Tournament.
2. “Lifetime” does not require any duration of years or minimum portion of a recipient’s life.
3. Recipients can be any age.
4. The Seattle Tennis Club Tennis Committee will receive nominations for the recipient of this award and will develop and propose a process of selection.

Awarded for exemplifying the spirit of Tennis Week.
Awarded at the Ladies’ Day banquet to the player who has done the most to enhance women’s tennis at the Club.
The qualities of a Nancy Douglas Award winner:
Exemplifies the sheer love, enjoyment & fun of organized women’s tennis
Shows her constant ability to play the game of tennis as fairly as her knowledge of her the game permits
Shows her willingness to help & support her partner at all times during play
Willingly serves as court captain, flight captain, assistant flight captain, or any other position of
organizational leadership
Is continuously able to constructively benefit and learn from both wins and losses on the court
Is an active participant in Ladies’ Day
Contribution to junior tennis development.
Awarded to a girl who brings enthusiasm and hard work to the courts each day. She inspires others through her energy and positive attitude.
Awarded to the winner of the Senior Men’s Singles and Senior Men’s Doubles in the annual Club Tournament.
Awarded to the Club Men’s 18 and under singles champion.
Awarded to the Club Women’s 18 and under singles champion.
Awarded to the male player who wins the most tournaments in the Pacific Northwest tournament circuit.
Awarded to the most improved Club player.
Awarded to the boy and girl who have participated in Interclub and some tournaments and have shown improvement in their game and good sportsmanship.
Awarded to a good sportsman, model for younger players
Awarded to a boy and girl for good sportsmanship throughout the year
